Alex Frost has spent most of his working career in banking. He joined Dresdner Kleinwort in 1999 on the equity sales and trading platform, where he went onto head up part of their pioneering hedge fund team and in doing so, aged 29 becoming one of their youngest ever Managing Directors. From there he went onto Merrill Lynch in 2007 where he became head of cash equity sales trading for EMEA. In 2013, and until his departure in 2016 his team were no1 rated, handling industry record levels of both primary and secondary transactions.
Alex has long held an interest in racing having had horses in training with Henry Candy, Charlie Fellowes, Jamie Snowden and Charlie Hills. These include Treaty Of Paris, the 2013 Acomb Stakes winner, smart sprint handicapper Signor Peltro and last year’s Land O’Burns Trophy winner Spring Fling, a half-sister to Music Master and Twilight Son. He's currently running five syndicates, passionately encouraging ownership and interest in the sport. In January last year he joined the racecourse committee at Epsom Downs.
It was announced early last year that Frost and his wife Olivia had acquired their own breeding operation at Ladyswood Stud near Malmesbury in Wiltshire. The stud were a top 15 consignor in their first draft at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale last year.
Inspired by this passion for the racing industry and his equity markets trading experiences Alex left the City in 2016 to set up the Alizeti Group and the racehorse owners consortium.
